Dr. Phil Yeung graduated with Honours from the University of Sydney in 1992. He worked as a General Surgery Registrar at Prince of Wales Hospital and linked hospitals. He began ENT registrar work at John Hunter Hospital in 1997.

He was accepted into the NSW ENT training scheme commencing College accredited training in 1999, completing his training in 2003.

ENT  training included 6 mth rotations at Westmead New Children’s Hospital and Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick.

He then went overseas for further experience, spending 3 months in early 2014 with Professor D.S. Sethi at Singapore General Hospital both operating and observing. A further 9 month Otology Fellowship at Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham, UK  with Professor G. O’Donoghue followed. During this time he also attended several surgical dissection courses in Singapore, the US and France.

Dr. Yeung has been a consultant ENT surgeon since 2005. He is on staff at 2 public hospitals ( Bankstown and Liverpool). He also operates regularly at Strathfield Private, Sydney Private (Ashfield), Sydney Day Surgery (Newtown), and is available at Westmead Private and Sydney South West (Liverpool) Dr. Yeung is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Otolaryngology, and a member of the specialty professional body ( ASOHNS: Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery)

As with all practicing surgeon in Australia, Dr. Yeung is compliant with the CPD ( continuing professional development ) program of the College of Surgeons as well as APHRA ( the regulatory body for medical practitioners)This involves attendance at ENT departmental meetings to discuss problems, adverse outcomes, attending ENT society meetings where various departments from different Sydney teaching hospitals present their workload and case reviews. It also requires attendance at ENT conferences and workshops both locally and overseas. Dr. Yeung is also involved in the training and supervision of ENT registrars.
