Dr Arjuna Ananda, Principal ENT Surgeon specialising in rhinology and sinus surgery at Central Sydney ENT
Principal Surgeon Rhinology & General ENT

Dr Arjuna Ananda

MBBS, FRACS (ORL-HNS)

Dr Arjuna Ananda is the founding Principal Surgeon of Central Sydney ENT and a fellowship-trained rhinologist with advanced expertise in endoscopic sinus and anterior skull base surgery. He completed his subspecialty fellowship under Professor PJ Wormald at Adelaide's Queen Elizabeth Hospital: widely regarded as one of the most prestigious rhinology training posts in the world. That experience shaped his approach to complex sinonasal pathology, giving him a depth of skill in image-guided sinus surgery, frontal sinus procedures, and endoscopic management of skull base lesions that few surgeons in Western Sydney can match.

Over more than a decade of specialist practice across Burwood, Campbelltown, and Gregory Hills, Dr Ananda has earned a strong reputation among referring GPs and patients alike for careful preoperative assessment, meticulous surgical technique, and honest communication about expected outcomes. His surgical scope extends well beyond rhinology: he routinely manages sleep-disordered breathing with multilevel surgical intervention, performs both functional and cosmetic septorhinoplasty, and treats the full range of adult and paediatric ear, nose, and throat conditions. This breadth allows patients to receive comprehensive ENT care under a single surgeon rather than being referred between multiple specialists.

Dr Ananda holds clinical appointments at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and is an active member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He is committed to surgical education and regularly contributes to the training of ENT registrars. Patients value his willingness to take time during consultations, explain findings clearly, and involve them meaningfully in treatment decisions.
